25th ID Huey LLC takes delivery or restored UH-1H

Published on

May 17,2007- Mr. Tim Horrell representing the 25th Infantry Division Huey LLC accepts the keys for delivery to their newly restored Bell UH-1H from Northwest Helicopters President, Brian Reynolds. Ordered last fall, this helicopter has been subject to a complete restoration back to its original configuration of a late 1960’s Huey serving in Vietnam. What makes this helicopter special is that it actually saw service with the 25th ID in Cu Chi at the same time Mr. Horrell was serving as a young Huey pilot in the 25th at the same location. This is a fully restored helicopter complete with all original markings and placards for the time. All components are new, inspected, or overhauled and this helicopter is fully airworthy for displays and shows. Tim has 2000 flight hours in the UH-1 making his most recent flight in a Huey in 1971. Now more than 35 years later, Tim has been checked out with our recurrent training and is again flying and taking to the sky’s in a Huey. We are happy to have Tim as the caretaker of such a historic helicopter and wish him well on his return to flying and the Bell UH-1H. Northwest Helicopters has restored several Bell UH-1H’s for collectors around the world.
